What is Core5?
Core5 is an evidence-based, supplemental literacy program that supports pre-K–5 educators in bridging the gap between science of reading theory and classroom practice.
Core5:
- Aligns to the same science of reading research base highlighted in LETRS
- Provides real-time progress monitoring and instructional resources to inform teacher-led, differentiated instruction
- Is proven to accelerate the development of fundamental literacy skills for students of all abilities
Core5 is Grounded in the Science of Reading
Nearly 8 in 10 educators who participated in LETRS agreed that “My students who are using Core5 have a better understanding of literacy concepts because I apply what I’ve learned from LETRS.”*
*Monthly voice of the myLexia User Survey for sampled educators actively using myLexia® and self-identified as using Core5 and have completed 1+ unit of LETRS for Elementary program. Surveyed in March and April 2023. N=150

The Adaptive Blended Learning model is centered on the teacher, equipping educators with easy-to-interpret student performance data and instructional resources that seamlessly integrate into classroom routines.
Real-time norm-referenced, actionable data help educators predict student outcomes and adapt their instruction.
Scaffolded lesson plans and offline materials support teacher-led instruction and empower teachers to address individual student needs.
Students are offered frequent opportunities to practice foundational reading skills through integrated decodable texts and supplemental decodable readers.
Powerful myLexia reporting dashboard aids data-based decisions by showing academic progress by district, school, grade, class, and individual student.
Core5 is research-based and research-proven, with
peer-reviewed and published research studies that meet the standards of evidence required under ESSA.
